Rouketopolemos
Rouketopolemos, or "rocket war" in English, is an annual event held on Easter Sunday on the Greek island of Chios. During this unique celebration, two rival churches, Agios Markos and Panagia Erithiani, engage in a "war" by firing homemade rockets at each other's bell towers, aiming to hit the opposing church's bell. The event is rooted in a centuries-old tradition and attracts spectators from around the world who come to witness the fiery spectacle.
